Notes
Overall, today felt pretty good. The Hydroxycut provided a nice energy boost and kept me in my target heart rate (140-150 bpm) with less effort. I'll be using lean meats like tuna and the whey protein to bulk up a little. I'll stay away from any of the serious stuff, like creatine, for a while. My primary goal this month is build up my cardio and some definition back. Around this time last year I weighed between 165-175 pounds, which means I'm carrying anywhere between 30 to 35 pounds of extra weight.
This was probably the hardest part for me... realizing how much I had let things go. I had neglected myself, making the still-fresh memories of how healthy and fit I was unbareable. Its like looking back and seeing this version of you that you remember always wanting to be, then realizing its in the past and you let it all go. I still remember what it was like growing up in a Catholic elementary school as the fat kid. I used to fantasize being the attractive, charasmatic one in the room. I guess the only edge I have now that I didn't back then was the knowledge of my capabilities. I know I can get there again, I've been there before.
Which leads me to my last point. I want to show you all what can happen with a little drive and know-how. I'll be updating my journey weekly, chronicling my successes and challenges throughout the entire experience. This is step one in taking back my life. This is step one in setting things right. If witnessing whatever changes that take place in my life might inspire one other person to make a positive difference in theirs, everything would be that much more worth it.
